After reading up on some of the links passed around, and some more googling, I managed to convert an AVI into a VCD that played fine on mv DVD player. As the guy who brought it up at the meeting I figured I'd give you and everybody an update. Turns out the burner needs to have the capability of DAO. Mine only supports TAO. I tried a sample bin cue dual file. My DVD player complained about a format error. Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait until I can afford a different burner or maybe pick up a DVD burner.
